Excerpt from ‘The Wings of the Sea’

My child, we use the wings of the sea
when delaying rains. When the skies
cave into my eyes it's because I worship blue.
My fear is a meaning derived
from the wildernesses. And yes,
I change when I hear the tap, tap of rain.
...
Time come, time go
my sisters, my brothers.
Of course my body puts me down.
